Daniel Oliver, Sr.
age 78, of Hillsboro, Missouri, passed away Monday, September 11, 2017 at his home. He was born August 29, 1939 in St. Louis, Missouri.
He is survived by his wife Diana (nee Tinsley) Oliver; daughters Linda (Steven) Riggins of Festus, Missouri and Tammy (Bryan) Bock of Frederick, Maryland; brother Kenneth (Barbara) Oliver; a sister Donna; 9 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother Ruth (nee Horton) Mace and her late husband Don; father Arnold Oliver and his late wife Eleanor; a daughter Deanna White; a son Daniel Joseph (Jynda survives of St. Charles, Missouri) Oliver; and sisters Charlene (Butch survives of Montgomery City, Missouri) Staten and Donna Ipock.
He served in the U.S. Army reserves, was a factory worker for Wagner Electric and Cerroflow Copper, and a member of Peace Tabernacle Pentecostal Church in Hillsboro.
Visitation 10:00 A.M. until the time of funeral services at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus, officiated by Revs. Tim and Rudy Theissen. Interment in Peaceful Meadows Cemetery of Hillsboro. Memorials in his memory are preferred to the Alzheimer's Association.
