   Ernestine Woody age 93, of Festus, Missouri, passed away Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Independent Care Center in Perryville, Missouri. She was born August 2, 1924 in Gadsden, Alabama, the daughter of the late Emma Estelle (nee Aderholt) and Forney Ernest Garmon.
   In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband William H. Woody; sons Anthony Batchelor and Richard Lee (Deborah survives of Perryville) Batchelor; sisters Geraldine (the late Warren) Dunkum and Gwendolyn (the late Challis) Lowder; and brothers Dewitt Garmon, Marlin Garmon, Millard Garmon, Robert (the late Jeannette) Lamar and Joseph (the late Martha Jo) Garmon.
   She is survived by a son Robert Ray (Cindy) Batchelor of Festus; step-son Michael B. (Janet) Woody of Baltimore, MD; step-daughter Lorie Wagner of Crownsville, Maryland; brother Gerald (Betty) Garmon of Houston, Texas; 5 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
   She had been the owner/operator of Woody's Tavern in Baltimore, a member of First Baptist Church of Festus-Crystal City, and the Order of the Eastern Star #417.
   Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, September 12, 2017 in Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crystal City, Missouri, officiated by Bro. Andrew Batchelor of Perryville. Memorials in her memory are preferred to the American Red Cross or to the charity of the donor's choice.
